How are the opportunities to earn on micro job sites?
As mentioned above, there are plenty of micro job sites available. Plus, these micro jobs sites have big clients, so there will always be a steady source of jobs you can do to earn. So, to answer the question, the opportunities are actually pretty good.
And the great thing is that most of these sites will allow you to join and earn no matter the country you are from, even though there can be some differences in the number of opportunities depending on your country.
The question now is, since there are many opportunities, how will you choose the right sites to join? To do that, you have to get a good idea about the earning potential of the different sites.
Ideally, you, of course, want to join a micro job site that not only offers plenty of opportunities but also pays well. You also want a site that offers a realistic payout threshold. When I say realistic, what I mean by that is something you can easily reach.
And lastly, you want sites that offer convenient payment methods.
All the sites I will be including on the list below will have a good score in all the categories mentioned. Your job is to simply figure out which sites suit you the best.
How to earn the most?
To maximize your earnings from these sites, you have to choose the right earning opportunities and use as many of them as possible.
Exactly which opportunities are available differ from site to site, but on the list below, I will give you a quick overview of the jobs/tasks the different sites offer so you easily find the ones that are the most interesting for you.
On the list, you can also find links to full reviews and tutorials of each of the platforms so you can get in-depth info about exactly how to use each earning method for your chosen platforms.
Aside from taking full advantage of all the earning opportunities, another good way to maximize your earnings is to join around 5 to 7 sites. By doing so, you will gain access to more earning opportunities which will naturally lead to more earnings.
But always remember, when you join these sites, the money you will be able to earn will not be comparable to what you can from a full-time job. These sites aren’t exactly a replacement for a day job. If you head in with that kind of expectation, you will just be disappointed.
That being said, you can still earn a decent amount of money by putting in a bit of effort and time on a regular basis.
And it is something you can do no matter your background and you can start earning already today.
9 top micro job sites
As I’ve mentioned earlier, this guide’s goal is to help you find the best micro job sites you can join.
So, I will only include sites that are really worth your time instead of listing as many sites as possible.
I will keep updating this list so make sure to bookmark this page and check back from time to time for new opportunities.

More information: Read full TimeBucks review
Short summary:
TimeBucks offers many different micro jobs you can do. You can, for example, earn by answering surveys, watching online slideshows, watching videos, taking paid offers, solving captcha, doing social media tasks, and more.
It has a good number of micro jobs available so you’ll be able to earn a decent amount regularly. It has a relatively low payout threshold of $10 and once you reach it, you can withdraw your earnings in various ways.
You can withdraw your earnings via direct bank transfer through Transferwise or you can choose other payment methods like AirTM, Neteller, Skrill, or Payeer. You can also choose to convert your earnings to Bitcoin.
#2 – PicoWorkers

Available in: Worldwide
Payout methods: PayPal, Litecoin, Skrill
Payout threshold: $5.75
More information: Read full PicoWorkers review
Short summary:
Another good micro job site you can join is called PicoWorkers. This site has a relatively good number of micro jobs available where you can earn by visiting sites, signing up as a member on certain websites, reading articles, and a lot more. Plus, you can also earn additional rewards by inviting other people to join the site.
It’s also one of the few micro jobs sites that has a low payout threshold ($5.75). And when you hit the threshold, you can choose to withdraw your earnings via PayPal or convert it to cryptocurrency (Litecoin).
But what really makes this site a good site to join is it always has numerous small jobs available. So, you won’t run out of things to do to earn money. You just need to be aware that it charges a quite high processing fee when withdrawing, so you will not get the full amount you have earned.
#3 – OneForma

Available in: More or less worldwide
Payout methods: PayPal, Payoneer
Payout threshold: None
More information: Read full OneForma review
Short summary:
OneForma is a full-fledged micro job site. It is available more or less worldwide, so you can register as a member regardless of where you live. You can earn by completing jobs that require data collection, transcriptions, or translations. You can also earn by inviting other people to join the site.
What makes this site a good option is you don’t really have to reach a threshold to get paid. This is because they will pay you every month (of course, you have to earn first). Payment is done every month and it will cover all your earnings from the previous month.
You can either choose to get paid via PayPal or Payoneer. OneForma also offers relatively high rewards for its micro jobs, so you’ll be able to earn a decent amount from it. You just have to be patient when applying for micro jobs because you won’t always get accepted.
#4 – Appen Tasks

Available in: Worldwide
Payout methods: PayPal
Payout threshold: $10
More information: Read full Appen Tasks review
Short summary:
When Appen acquired Figure Eight (a popular micro jobs site), it incorporated the site to its own micro jobs platform (Appen also has its own survey panel which has its own login portal). To earn from this site, you can do various jobs like data entry and collection and a lot more.
Another thing that makes this site an interesting choice is, it can be a good long-term investment because you will eventually earn more the longer you keep doing their micro jobs. When you’ve earned $10, you will then be able to withdraw your earnings via PayPal.
Their jobs also don’t pay well at the beginning, but as mentioned above, you will be able to earn more as you keep completing jobs over time. So, overall, its earning potential is good and you really won’t run out of jobs to do.
#5 – Respondent

Available in: Worldwide
Payout methods: PayPal
Payout threshold: none
More information: Read full Respondent review
Short summary:
Respondent is a form of crowdsourcing site that will pay you for participating in research activities. So, you will basically be participating in research projects. Aside from participating in research projects, you can also earn by inviting other people to join the site.
The good thing about this site is, you don’t have to reach a threshold to withdraw your earnings. Whenever you complete a project, the site will pay you via PayPal as soon as it receives the payment from the company/individual that posted the project.
It doesn’t have as many opportunities as the other sites on this list, but what makes it a good option is that most of the projects it offers pay a rather significant amount. So, even though there aren’t a lot of earning opportunities, you will still be able to earn a decent amount when you manage to complete even just one project.
#6 – ClickWorker

Available in: More or less worldwide
Payout methods: PayPal, SEPA, or Transferwise
Payout threshold: $10
More information: Read full ClickWorker review
Short summary:
ClickWorker is a micro jobs site that mainly offers data entry jobs. Most of the jobs will ask you to categorize data of websites.
It has a relatively low payout threshold of $10, so you’ll be able to withdraw your earnings quite easily. Once you hit the threshold, you can withdraw it either via PayPal, Transferwise, or SEPA.
What makes this site a decent option is, if you don’t feel like doing data entry jobs or if there aren’t any available jobs, you can still earn by answering paid surveys. So, it’s a bit more flexible in terms of the earning opportunities it offers.
#7 – Amazon MTurk

Available in: More or less worldwide
Payout methods: Amazon gift cards, Amazon Payments
Payout threshold: None
More information: Read full Amazon MTurk review
Short summary:
Amazon MTurk is a micro jobs site that also offers paid surveys as another way to earn rewards. It has a fairly decent number of jobs you can do and they pay rather well. You can find transcription jobs as well as data classification jobs from this site, among other things.
It is available more or less worldwide, but technically speaking, Amazon MTurk is only great for people living in the US and India and not so great for everyone else. This is because if you live in the US, you can transfer your earnings to your Amazon Payments account and then from there to your bank account or you can convert them to gift cards for Amazon.com.
If you live in India, you can withdraw your earnings directly to your bank account or convert it to an Amazon gift card. If you live anywhere else, you will only get to redeem Amazon gift cards, which is not available for all countries.
You also need to be a bit more patient when registering because becoming a member of this site isn’t as easy as the other sites on this list since you will have to apply to become a member.
#8 – RapidWorkers

Available in: More or less worldwide
Payout methods: PayPal
Payout threshold: $8
More information: Read full RapidWorkers review
Short summary:
RapidWorkers is a micro jobs site that has been around since 2009. So, it’s a testament to how dependable this site is. You will be able to earn by doing jobs that will ask you to visit websites, download apps and programs, watching videos, and a lot more. Since there are a lot of jobs available, you really won’t run out of things to do to earn.
The payout threshold you need to reach is also relatively low ($8) and when you reach it, you will be able to withdraw it via PayPal. It does, however, have a 6% withdrawal fee that will be deducted from the amount you will withdraw.
The availability of jobs will depend on your location. If you live in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Norway, the earning potential is quite good. But if you don’t live in the countries mentioned above, don’t expect to earn a lot, which is the main reason why it isn’t ranked higher on this list.
#9 – MicroWorkers

Available in: More or less worldwide
Payout methods: Payoneer, PayPal, Dwolla (US only), Skrill, or Transpay
Payout threshold: $20 for Payoneer, $9 for other options
More information: Read full MicroWorkers review
Short summary:
MicroWorkers is an online platform that will allow you to earn by doing small online jobs. It has quite a lot of job categories you can choose from, so you won’t really run out of opportunities to earn. They don’t pay as well as the other sites on this list, but you will still be able to earn a decent amount. You just need to be a bit more patient.
It has a relatively low payout threshold for PayPal, Dwolla, Skrill, or Transpay ($9). But if you choose to withdraw your earnings via Payoneer, you will need to earn $20, which is relatively high, in my opinion.
The first time you request a payout, a PIN number will be mailed to your home address and it will usually take about four weeks for you to receive it. So, it can take quite some time to get paid the first time. But once you have your PIN, withdrawing your earnings will be a lot easier.
So that concludes my guide of the best micro job sites you can join. Remember, all the sites mentioned above are legit and free to join. You just have to set aside a bit of your time and some effort to earn a decent amount.
